Pupils help Swindon Food Bank
With Christmas now just one month away, Marlborough College pupils have helped those less fortunate than themselves by making donations to the Swindon Food Bank.
Pupils returned from the recent Exeat with donations for the collection, which was collected on Thursday 21st November. David Hartridge, Project Manager for Swindon Food Bank, was also on hand to deliver an informative presentation to Shell pupils.
Simon Dennis, Head of Shell, explained more about the initiative.
He said: “Each year the Shell are encouraged to think of those less fortunate themselves and to make the most of their advantageous start in life.
“After the Exeat they have endeavoured to return with five items of non-perishable food, including long life milk, sugar, cereal and tinned food. Swindon Food Bank is an excellent, rapidly growing local charity.”
