More Examination Success

As this year’s results come out for our Upper Sixth leavers, we send our warmest congratulations on a fantastic set of achievements, which complement the strong IB results obtained last month.

Almost one in every five examinations was awarded an A* grade (or its Pre-U equivalent) or above, and our pupils’ average UCAS points score was over 380 – equivalent to A*AA at A level. (With IB results added into the mix, the average for all of our leavers is equivalent to A*A*A).

There have been many individual successes, at all levels, but special mention goes to:

•    John Cattermull (C3), Alex Martin (PR), Anna O’Donald (MO) and Harry Owen (TU), who each achieved 4 A* grades or higher (for Pre-U).
•    Tom Cayford (LI), Theo Featherstone (C1), Sophie Shakespeare (EL) and Amy Smart (CO), who all achieved A*A*A*A or equivalent in their four subjects.
•    Eliza Norris (SU), Freddie Vint (BH) and Jade Yan (NC), who each achieved 3 A* grades or higher.

Marcus Miller (C3) is also congratulated on achieving the prestigious D1 grade at Pre-U (rated higher than an A* at A level) in two different subjects, as are the nine other pupils who achieved at least one D1 grade.

These results, and the many other successes not listed here, are down not only to the commitment and sheer talent of our individual pupils, but also to the inspiring teaching and constant encouragement and guidance they have received from their teachers, tutors, Housemasters and Housemistresses, and the wider staff of the College community.

To all of our leavers, we wish you the best as you embark upon the next, exciting phases of your young lives, and we look forward to hearing all about you in the months and years to come.
