Meurtre sur le Nil
On Monday 6th February the French department hosted a murder mystery dinner for some of the top linguists in the Hundred and Lower Sixth, with the help of some guests from Luxembourg as well.
Accusations were flying left right and centre as three tables of eight tried to solve the mystery a murdered millionaire on a boat on the Nile, with the four acts of the mystery conducted entirely in French.
As well as a sumptuous feast of North African delicacies from falafel to tagine, followed by pistachio and orange flavoured panna cotta, courtesy of the excellent Norwood Hall hospitality, the level of French spoken was both challenging and inspirational, and the excellent interaction between year groups eased everything along.
At the end of the evening the murderer was revealed, and pupils and staff alike were left looking forward eagerly to the next time.
