Cricket at Lord’s
For the first time since 1972, the Cricket XI will renew their rivalry with Rugby School at Lord’s this Saturday 12th August as part of Rugby’s 450th anniversary celebrations.
The fixture was first played at the home of cricket in 1855, but when limited-over cricket was introduced to the counties in the 1960s and 1970s all school matches ceased to be hosted there with the exception of Eton v Harrow.
This promises to be an enjoyable occasion with many current pupils, parents and alumni of the two schools in attendance.
Ticket are available at Lord’s on the day of the game – please click here for further information.
