A Level Results

2017 Summary

Once again, we pass on warmest congratulations to our leavers on a very strong set of examination results, which have gained for them entry into some of the top universities in the UK and around the world.

One in six entries has been graded at A* (or its Pre-U equivalents, D1 and D2), and the average number of UCAS points per pupil is equivalent to 3 A grades at A level. All those holding Oxbridge offers have achieved their place.

Special congratulations go to the following pupils who have achieved three or more A* grades:

  • Will Catton (C2) – with 4 A* grades
  • Olivia Gaillard (MO)
  • Archie MacColl (CO)
  • Helena Mackie (MO)
  • Sarah Mattinson (MM) – with 4 A* grades
  • Bea Pecover (NC)
  • Philip Springford (C3) – with 5 A levels, including 4 A* grades
  • Naomi Weir (MO)
  • Lucy Wilson (NC)

Beyond these headline results are a great number of other success stories, all well deserved by our talented and hard-working pupils, and we would like to thank our dedicated staff, academic and wider, who have helped to inspire and nurture these pupils to their successes.

We wish all of our leavers the very best as they head off to their new adventures, and look forward to hearing from them in the months and years to come.
