The Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Once in the Remove pupils can opt to undertake various outdoor activities as part of their weekly programme.  The evening climbing and kayaking clubs are also open to Remove and above pupils.

On Wednesday afternoons the majority of the Remove will split their year equally between the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and the Outdoor activity Department (OA)
Whilst with the OA department they could choose to start to progress towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award or participate in numerous activities including raft building, mountain biking or climbing.

It is highly likely that they will have the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventurous activity that has been organised for their particular house year group at the weekend.

These activities are offsite and typical examples include caving, coasteering, water sports, dry slope skiing and hill walking.
