Facilities Matches, Competition and Events
The College has four indoor Rugby Fives courts and two Eton Fives courts. These courts were the gift of the Martineau family in 1929 and were re-covered in 2001.
Marlborough always competes in the West of England Schools’ Championships in January, the biggest event in the calendar after the National Championships. We have recently provided semi-finalists in both singles and doubles in the Colts and the Open competition. On the schools’ circuit we play Winchester, Radley, Sherborne, Bradfield, Malvern, and Bryanston. We have also played against the Jesters, the RFA, Marlborough town and Sunningdale School.
The Marlborough First Pair won the Open Plate Competition at the Schools’ Winchester Fives Championships in 2004-5. Last season saw the first girls’ fixture, when a team of U14s played Malvern College.
