Tanisha Brown began the memorial by playing a melancholic tune taken from Spielberg's brutally honest film, Schindler’s List, on violin. Tiggy Brearley’s performance on the oboe was made all the more atmospheric, accompanied as it was by the bite of a winter wind. Jamie Bell sang Deep River maintaining a mournful clarity despite the unforgiving outdoor accoustics of Court. Rhiannon George-Carey, Charis Lawry-White, Molly Alexander and Romily Hextall finished proceedings by singing a moving quartet.  Each performance helped to commemorated an era in history whose tragedy is hard to encompass or put into the perspective of reality.
