Following coeducation, lacrosse was initially offered only at Upper School level. However, in recent years, lacrosse has become fully integrated as part of the sporting programme and teams are now run across the age groups in the Michaelmas and Lent terms.
Facilities Teams, Matches, Events
There are four lacrosse pitches across various locations in the College grounds. The main pitches are located centrally behind Mill Mead boarding house and, in the Lent Term, on the XV. In addition, the Sports Hall is used for indoor training.
There is a full fixture list for two Open teams throughout the Michaelmas and Lent terms. Fixtures are arranged for one U15 and one U14 team in the Lent Term. The 1st XII and the U14 XII enter the West of England Tournament. Girls are regularly selected to represent the combined Dorset and Wiltshire team.
The College won the National Small Schools’ Tournaments in 2002 and 2004.
In 2002, the team toured the East coast of USA.
