Netball has featured as the major girls’ sport in the Lent Term since coeducation and, in competition, has developed into one of the College's most successful sports.

The College has eight hard courts situated in a picturesque setting below the athletics’ track. In addition, the Sports Hall is used regularly for matches and training.

Twelve teams compete in block fixtures against major schools which include Millfield, Canford, The Cheltenham Ladies’ College, and Clifton. There are four teams at U14 level, three at U15, one at U16, and four Open VIIs.

The National Schools’ Tournaments are entered at U14, U16 and U19 level. Marlborough also hosts an Invitation Tournament for the U19s and U16s. This attracts a large entry of schools from London to Devon, and regularly includes National Schools’ Finalists.

The girls regularly win the U14, U16 and U19 county tournaments and feature at the regional championships at Millfield.

The annual fixture against The Cheltenham Ladies College includes six U14 teams and ensures that every girl represents the College at least once in this major sport during her time at Marlborough.

In 2005, the 1st VII reached the National Finals of the Schools’ Tournament.

Major tours regularly take place; the most recent ones were to Barbados (2001) and South Africa (2004).
