Squash has a long history at Marlborough and is an ‘alternative’ sport for boys and girls in the Michaelmas and Lent terms. There is a well supported and vigorous inter-house competition each year. The College has four heated squash courts, including one glass backed match court.
Three boys teams compete in fixtures against major schools. A Girls 1st V also plays regular fixtures. Over the last four seasons, the College has won just over 80% of its fixtures. The Boys Junior V went unbeaten for three consecutive years and Boys and Girls 1st V have recorded unbeaten seasons in regular inter-school fixtures. The Boys 1st V competes annually in the prestigious Roehampton Public Schools' Invitation Tournament. In the Boys U19 National Schools' Competition, the 1st V reached the quarter-finals losing to the eventual winners.
The College plays host to teams from the Jesters and Brigands, giving added experience to both Senior and Junior players.
