Fees Schedule 2009-2010

The standard charge for Music Tuition on an instrument or for singing is £26.00 per 35 minute lesson. Parents will be invoiced termly in arrears for lessons received in the previous term. The normal expectation is that 30 lessons will be offered during the academic year.

For pupils receiving lessons on more than one instrument (including singing) the charge for all lessons received will be £24.50 per lesson.

For pupils receiving lessons on more than two instruments (including singing) the charge will be £23.35 per lesson.

In addition there are charges for the hire of musical instruments. Pupils are charged £23.50 per term for sole use of an instrument, and £16.30 per term for shared use for the first three terms. Thereafter the hire fee is raised to £36.00 and £23.50 per term (except for the horn, bassoon, tuba, double bass, euphonium). Drumkit is charged at the set rate of £16.00 per term.

Extra tuition may be provided for dyslexic pupils or for those requiring other kinds of learning support. The charge for such tuition is £50.00 per hour. Parents will be advised if such tuition is required. Extra tuition in English as a Foreign Language is also charged at £50 per hour.

If a parent requests an assessment of their son or daughter for learning support there is also a charge of £50.00 per assessment.

The usual cost for weekend expeditions is in the region of £50 for a weekend and £30 for a day trip.
