Mill Mead is situated on the water meadows adjacent to the two trout lakes. To the rear of the building there is a very large grass playing field bounded by the river Kennet. Mill Mead benefits from its rural location, and at the same time is just two minutes walk from Court.
Mill Mead adjoins C3, a boys’ House. The Houses share a communal area where the girls and boys socialise and several joint events are run throughout the year.
Louise North was appointed to Marlborough and as Housemistress of Mill Mead in September 2005. Prior to this, she was a housemistress in Glenalmond College, Perthshire.
She teaches French and Spanish and is a keen sportswoman. She is married to Dominic and they have two young children, Arlo and India. As a family, they enjoy travel and fell walking.
