New Court

Housemistress: Cathy Walsh
Resident House Tutor:         Leanne Rowlands

Twinned with B1, New Court is an all-girls house of around sixty pupils.

New Court was the fourth girls’ house to open at Marlborough and did so in 1991. It stands in its own garden, on the site of the old stable block, and occupies a courtyard around which most of the school’s mid-nineteenth century classrooms and studies were situated.

It is located in the heart of the College at the southeast end of Court and directly opposite B1 with which it is twinned.

Cathy Walsh was appointed to be Housemistress of New Court in September 2003 following six years as Head of Chemistry.

She is a very keen mountaineer and has climbed and trekked all over the world. She is also a qualified yoga teacher - an interest she shares with many students through the weekly options programme.
