It has been a promising start on the netball court across the age groups, as renewed squad selections begin to solidify. The U14A cohort, fresh from Shell trials, should be proud of their debut representation, going undefeated at the Mid Wilts Area Tournament.

On the day, 86 goals were scored by Marlborough with just 21 conceded. Scarlet Thurner (NC Sh) was pivotal to this dominant attacking display, shooting with maturity and style.

The U16A squad were also crowned Area Champions and are building real momentum. Leading this side are Alicia Beckett (MO Re), Harriet Eyles (MM Hu) and Ariana Jones (IH Re), all of whom are currently training weekly within the Wiltshire County Netball Academy Programme.

Elyssa Jones (LI L6) and Eliza Winter (SU L6) have both joined the senior setup with conviction and energy. The 1st and 2nd VII squads recently played warm up fixtures against Wellington College and showed much raw potential at this early stage. Extended congratulations go to Ella Warner (MM Re) on both her senior debut and on her selection for the Team Bath Netball Futures Academy. It is an exciting time for Ella as she looks to progress her netball on this prestigious stage.

Sunday 5th November saw the U14, U16 and U19 squads travel to Dorcan, Swindon to compete in the Wiltshire County Tournament. Both the U19 and U16 teams were unbeaten on the day and so came away as County Champions, with the U14 squad finishing a close Runner Up in their age category. Georgie Henderson (PR U6) and Ellie Spark (MM U6) were particularly pivotal to the efforts of the Senior team on this day. All three squads performed superbly well and earned themselves a place at the Regional Tournament to be held in Bournemouth on Saturday 27th January 2018.

The girls are now turning their attention to a busy netball calendar come the Lent Term and indeed to a productive day of pre-season training on Wednesday 3rd January.
