Visit from Bishop Cotton School

Mr BC Robinson, Headmaster of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla visited the College on Friday 1st July.

George Cotton was Master of Marlborough College from 1852-58 and was subsequently appointed Bishop of Calcutta. Cotton House is named after him, and Bishop Cotton went on to found schools in Bangalore, Calcutta and Bombay as well as Shimla.

Headmaster Robinson attended the Somme Commemoration in Chapel, was given a tour of the College and Archives, visited Cotton House (pictured here with Housemaster Mark Conlen) and discussed the development of educational links between the two schools with the Master.
