Arctic Explorer visits Marlborough

Alex Hibbert, Arctic Explorer, entertained to supper by eight Sixth Form Geographers on Thursday 7th December.

After two very stimulating presentations on ‘Challenge and Survival in the Arctic Wilderness’; he spoke to the Shell on his 2013/14 extended stay with the Greenland Inuit people where he learnt to dog sled and then to older pupils on the geopolitical and governance issues of the Arctic world.

He is currently planning the Dark Ice Project with the aim of skiing to the North Pole and back in the Arctic winter.
