Review: David Edwards

David Edwards gave a trio of stimulating Geography lectures on Thursday 25th January.

The Shell year group enjoyed a fascinating lecture on Antarctica which was followed by an A level presentation to the U6 on Hawaiian volcanics and threats to Antarctica, including the melting of the West Antarctic ice sheet and the South Georgia invasion and subsequent clearance of Rattus Norvegicus.

The final lecture to the Lower Sixth tackled the issues of energy resource security and the future of the natural environment. Interest in Geography and Geographical exploration are currently buoyant at the College with trips to Iceland, Sichuan, China and Tenerife all coming up in the next few months.
