Historic Girls' Football Fixture

Category: Sport, General, Pupil Achievements

The first ever match for the Marlborough College Girls’ Football team took place on Tuesday 15th November.

The landmark fixture was played in good spirit and after a goalless first half, the home side’s experience paid off in the second half to register a 2-0 win. Despite the result, this was a very encouraging opening game with lots of promising play in evidence.

Training takes place each Tuesday from 2.15pm-3.15pm under the guidance of a Swindon Town FC coach and will continue into the Lent Term. Further fixtures have been arranged and any pupil interested should choose Girls' Football for their Tuesday option or contact ECS.
