Field Day in the Lower Wye Valley

Category: General, Academic, Trips

The Remove OA 'Local Explorers' group, who spend Wednesday afternoons walking around landscapes of particular historical significance, celebrated Field Day with a splendid exploration of the Lower Wye Valley.

We visited Chepstow Castle in the morning, Tintern Abbey in the afternoon, and walked between them in the mean time, along the magnificent cliff-girt river, picnicking in the cold beside a ruined chapel, where we discussed Wordsworth.
