Artist Max Lowry
About the artist:
OM, Max Lowry, currently works from his studio in South London. Brought up by his mother in the heart of Paris and travelling the world meeting his clients in New York, London and the rest of Europe, his cosmopolitan lifestyle and upbringing permeates though his work to this day.
Max’s noteworthy CV includes a full art scholarship at Marlborough College, a Drama & Arts degree at Royal Holloway University, a decade of developing an extensive portfolio, as well as specialising in mural painting. Probably his most glamorous project to date is his appearance in a pan European ad campaign for the pasta sauce company SACLA. The commercial famously features Max as the artist painting an impressive 20-foot mural.
Oil Paintings and Drawings
I work for a weekly rate of £1000 and the price of any work is based on the amount of time I estimate the painting will take. This is determined by size and the detail of the subject matter. The total price of a commission takes into consideration all travel/material costs and preparation time. A final price will always be agreed before the painting is started. It is necessary that half the money is paid up front to pay for the materials etc, and the rest upon completion. Commissioned oil paintings usually start at £750 and drawings at £300.
Murals
As with any commission, a price for the mural will always be agreed before it is started and it is necessary that half of the fee is paid up front. All materials and prepatratory work to the walls will be billed separately. Murals on one wall start at £4,000 and murals that encompass a whole room start at £12,000.
OM discounts
An OM who commissions a painting, automatically gets a 15% discount. If I secure a commission from a recommendation from an OM I will give that person 10% of my fee (as a finders fee).
