Major Keith Rae(LI 1933-37), whose obituary appears in the Telegraph 15 May, died on 27 March 2010

The Rev Canon Lawrence Heber Waddy (B1 1927-33), former Headmaster of Tonbridge School, died on 26 March 2010.

R N Kingzett (PR 1934-40), former director of Thomas Agnew & Sons, and foremost authority of the 18th century town and seascape painter Samuel Scott, died on 2 March

Alan Elliott (CR 1954-74) who taught Classics at Marlborough, died on 21 January 2010 Tributes by Colin Goldsmith (CR 1955-91)and Ian Baird (C2 1960-64).

We have recently learnt that Robert Lewis Dean (LI 1953-57), Chartered Surveyor, died on 21 October 2009

Generous benefactor to the Foundation, Reginald Wills, always known as Reggie was born on 22 January 1922, and attended Marlborough in B1 from 1935 to 1939.

Philip Harben Crosskey (C2 1940-44) died in 13 July 2009. Once qualified, Philip spent his National Service in Egypt and Kenya, returning to Britain to become a much-loved general practitioner. He married Eithne Parker and had a daughter and two sons.

Professor David Cornelius Morley (C2 1937-41) died on 2nd July 2009. Despite dyslexia, Professor Morley became a world-reknowned paediatrician and innovator in tropical child health. Obituary in 2009 Magazine.

The Reverend Bruce Sherwill Hayler (C2 1937-41) died on 29 May 2009. He served in Burma and India during the war and was reputedly becoming one of the youngest captains in the army at the time.

Dr Stanley Hewitt, former Consultant Obstretrician/Gynaecologist in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, Ireland and Past Chairman for the Institute of Obstretricians and Gynaecologists died in his home on 16 May 2009.

Trevor Gartside (CR 1954-91), who was a beak at the College for 37 years and was House Master of C3 from 1967-78, died on 13th May 2009.

Roger Tyndale Cooper(B1 1925-29) died on 10th May 2009 aged 98. 

David C Hobson(B1 1936-40), Former Member of Council from 1967-92 and Chairman of Council, 1987-92 and former Senior Partner of Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants died on 13th April 2009.

Martin Whitsed Jeffreys, retired District Judge, died suddenly on 14 March 2009.

Sir Charles Willink, Bt (CR 1952-54) former Classics Beak at Marlborough, and then at Eton, died on 10th March 2009.

Tim Abell (C3 1943-48), former President of the Marlburian Club and Council Member died on 9th March 2009.

Professor Philip Alexander Poole-Wilson (CO 1956-61), renowned cardiologist, died on 4th March 2009. See also obituaries in The Times and and a tribute from colleague Michael Llewellyn

Rear Admiral Colin Dunlop(B3 1932-35) died on 8th March 2009. Read also the obituary in The Times.

Peter Euan Coppen, brother of Rev George Coppen (SU 1953-58), died on 3rd February 2009

Michael Gliksten(PR 1951-55) died in February 2009. He set up the Granham Casuals in 1952 and went on to be a Director, and finally Chairman, of Charlton Athletic.
