Role within the committee
Trustee of the Marlburian Club Charitable Funds.
Personal Background
I joined the Club Committee as Honorary Treasurer in 1991, and several years later my role was extended to include responsibility for the Marlburian Club Charitable Fund's finances. I was appointed as a Trustee of the Charitable Funds in 2004, and in the same year handed over the Club's finances to Quintin Heaney.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, and an interest in biotechnology led me to become the Chief Financial Officer of a small biotech company (long since swallowed by a larger competitor), and then to Abingworth Management Ltd which is a specialist investor in private and public life science and biotechnology based companies.
