Cross-Country

Master in charge: J F Lloyd (Cambridge Blue 1984)

Cross country running has always been an integral part of the sporting scene at the College. From the mid 1970s to the mid 1990s the team was coached by Bruce Tulloh, the 1962 European 5000 metre champion. Inter-House Competitions take place during the Michaelmas Term and Cross Country is open to boys and girls as an 'alternative' sport during the Lent Term.

Facilities

The College runners use a number of cross country courses within the grounds as well as in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Matches, Competition and Events

Boys compete in races at Under 15, Under 17 and Senior levels. There are normally seven matches for boys during the Lent term. These include longer races (with distances up to 5 miles) and relays (up to two miles per runner).
