Marlborough welcomes the new Chaplain Video
In a special service held at Marlborough College Chapel on Sunday, 9th September, The Revd Dr David Campbell was licensed and installed as the new Senior Chaplain by the Bishop of Salisbury. The whole school gathered to welcome him and to witness this new beginning in the Chaplaincy at the College.
The Revd Dr David Campbell was born in Belfast and was educated there and afterwards at the Universities of St Andrews, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
David was ordained deacon in St Ninian’s Cathedral in Perth in 1994 by The Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane and, following his priestly ordination the following year, went on to serve in various congregations in the St Andrews Diocese as well as being the Diocesan Youth Officer for more than a decade.
Elected Canon of the same Cathedral in 2006, David was appointed as Chaplain of Fettes College in Edinburgh in 2007 joining Marlborough in August.
