Exercise Road Traffic Collision

Upper Sixth CCF Cadets were put through their paces on Exercise Road Traffic Collision 3 on Wednesday 1st February.

The course was delivered by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue for what is an important part of the CCF programme.

Cadets were challenged to carry out a Dynamic Risk Assessment and then brief their crew members on the courses of action to extract the casualties form each of the three vehicles on the exercise area.

Once this was done the cadets started the difficult task of managing the glass and cutting the twisted metal with specialist cutting equipment to extract the casualties without causing further injury or distress to the occupants of the vehicles.
