Gap Year and University Fair

On Monday 12th June, the L6 attended the 2017 Gap Year and University Fair to try to figure out what sorts of steps they might take after Marlborough.

Many decided the best they could do at this stage was mull this over with a free brownie provided by the company that was doing a rather good job of selling their gap cooking course.

However, leaflet by leaflet we got our bearings and gained some purpose and direction amongst the mélange of gap year and university representatives who tempted us with promises of adventures both up mountains and in the lecture theatre. The gap year companies perhaps had the superior thrill factor, but the chance to have one on one chats with people from a range of unis was undeniably useful in answering the many questions regarding courses, co-curricular opportunities and, of course, universities themselves.

From speaking to people afterwards it was clear that everyone got different things out the afternoon, but everyone agreed that they felt further informed ahead of the UCAS process.
