Strong start for CCF

The Combined Cadet Force has got off to a fantastic start across the first half of this Michaelmas Term, with the Remove throwing themselves wholeheartedly into the CCF Remove programme. They have covered fire lighting, survival skills, command tasks, team building events and patrolling skills.

The Hundreds are currently going through their Basic Infantry Skills package dealing with new military equipment and how to handle weapons safely at all times. They are also doing basic drill both on the square and Field Craft drills.

The Lower Sixth have started their advanced cadre taking on water crossing drills and have recently just returned from a trip to Army Air Corps Base at Middle Wallop.

The current Upper Sixth, led by Cadet RSM Piers Tabor (B1 U6), have set a great example to their respective groups.

We are looking now towards the second half of term with the College Remembrance Service and the new banners being paraded in remembrance of those OMs and others who made the ultimate sacrifice.
