Parents’ Pastoral Conference this Sunday
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, parents of ALL pupils in the Lower School have been sent an invitation for the forthcoming Parents’ Pastoral Conference on Sunday 20th January.
This is being held in the Ellis Theatre and starts at 10.15am.
Dick Moore is returning to talk about how parents can support the mental wellbeing of their children. He is being joined by Claire Harvey MBE, and author and presenter, Richard Daniel Curtis.
Claire is a former prison governor and has worked for the FSA and KMPG, as well as the Youth Sport Trust. She is a GB Paralympian and is currently CEO of Diversity Role Models. She will be explaining why diversity and inclusion matters to young people – and to us all.
Richard Daniel Curtis’s latest book, AWOL: The Missing Teenage Brain, looks at common adolescent conundrums: Why do teenagers stay up so late, then sleep all weekend? Why are they so moody? Why is everything a drama? Where has my child gone?!
A link to pre-purchase the book, at a discounted price of £10 (RRP £12.99) can be found here.
If you would like to attend, please email Ellie Adams on firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 16th January. (This is important so that we can cater accurately for those attending).
