For an enriching week of learning experiences and entertainment the whole family can enjoy, sign-up for Marlborough College Summer School.

From 14 July to 10 August 2019, Marlborough College Summer School will once again host an amazing array of more than 500 courses suitable for all ages, abilities and interests. Whether you wish to learn a new skill or spend time enhancing an existing one, there’s a course that’s just perfect for you.

Established in 1974, Summer School offers courses in the creative arts, history, science, body and mind, life skills, sport and country pursuits. The eclectic programme is refreshed annually, and this year is no exception, with traditional favourites running alongside a wide range of inspiring new titles encompassing everything from Foraging to Flamenco, Mozart to Mindfulness, Politics to Printing, Railways to Ruskin and Cosmology to Codebreaking. You can even learn about Aztec Healing!

While there are over 370 fascinating courses for adults, the comprehensive programme for young people is a winning formula packed full of inspirational activities. Junior Troopers (3-6 years) and Children’s Activities (6-9 years) adopt the multi-activity approach and feature art and crafts, music, sports and outdoor adventures. Meanwhile, older children and teenagers can choose a morning and afternoon course that they continue all week. Just some of the diverse courses available to young people this summer include Mountain Biking, Yoga, Taiko Drumming, Badminton, Crochet Monsters, West End Dance, Graffiti Art and even a Spy Agency!

For students that wish to make the most of their time at Summer School, booking a stay in one of the College boarding houses comes thoroughly recommended. As a resident, you can not only indulge in the excellent cuisine and leisure facilities, but a wealth of fascinating lectures, recitals and entertainment. The 2019 programme features evenings with Clare Balding and the Reverend Richard Coles, outdoor family theatre from Illyria and music from The Counterfeit Stones, The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, The Magic of Motown and much, much more.
