Coaching clinic at Cheam

Terry Gilmour, Head of Rugby at Marlborough College, called into Cheam School on Tuesday 26th February to run a rugby coaching clinic.

The hour-long session featured a number of drills and games to help prepare the Cheam U13 boys – many of whom had just returned from a successful cricket tour in South Africa – for the remainder of the term.

The afternoon focused on a number of rugby fundamentals including catching and passing under pressure, tackling and adjusting to the harder pitch surfaces.

Gilmour added: “It was a great session and there are some talented boys in the group.

“Fortunately for us a good proportion of them are heading to the College in September where we look forward to working with them once again.”

The Marlborough College XV are in action this Saturday at Allianz Park against Whitgift in the semi-final of the Schools Cup. More details here.
