Review: Half-term trip to Russia

During the Lent half-term 11 Marlburians who study Russian travelled to St Petersburg.

Pupils spent their mornings studying the language and afternoons and evenings visiting sights and sampling the delights of the city.

Highlights included watching the local ice hockey team CKA beat Yaroslavl Lokomotiv 3-1, watching Zenit St Petersburg beat Fenerbahçe (Turkey) 3-1; as well as more cerebral pursuits such as visiting the Hermitage Museum, the Russian Museum and travelling out of town to Pushkin to see Ekaterinin Palace.

Everyone returned tired but elevated from a fantastic week in Russia.
