CCF Annual Dinner

The annual CCF Dinner Night was held on Friday 3rd May in the Adderley, with the guest of honour Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer KCB DSO MBE (C1 1976-81).

It was fantastic to have General Lorimer in attendance, along with 55 others, to give thanks to our Upper Sixth Cadets for their commitment and service and also to thank all those who make the CCF Experience at Marlborough College so special.

The 2018/19 academic year has been another memorable one for CCF, with special thanks to Piers Tabor (B1 U6) who headed up the cadet force, leading by example. We also congratulate Piers on his military scholarship and wish him well for the future.

A special mention must also go to Ben Longcroft (CO U6), Henry Clark (C3 U6) and all the Upper Sixth for their efforts not just this year, but throughout their time as part of CCF at Marlborough. Ben and Henry also played a key role back in November, when they carried the new CCF Silk Banners from Chapel to the refurbished Memorial Hall.

Marlborough CCF have just returned from Exercise Celtic Warrior 8. Congratulations to all those who completed what was a testing three-day exercise in Sennybridge in Wales. This included the naming of Archie Palengat (SU L6) as the Cadet RSM for 2019/20. He is also the recipient of the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) Sword, received from the regimental Colonel HAC at the end of the exercise.
