New Prefects’ Training

Having been nominated by HMs for prefect selection and having successfully navigated the application and selection process, the 2019/20 Prefect team enjoyed a stimulating training weekend at Oxenwood on the weekend of June 15th and 16th.

Incorporating a wide range of characters, experiences and interests, the group quickly got to work outlining the areas of school life that they wish to contribute to and to improve. Activities ranged from examining pastoral scenarios, to collaborative exercises, and, most challenging of all (!) the putting together a seating plan for new Prefects, new Heads of House and senior staff.

As ever, the setting of realistic and attainable goals is vital and it is exciting to see this group choosing to focus on sustainability and environmental awareness. In addition, the visit of the Oscar Foundation U17 football tour will provide an exciting focal point at the beginning of the Michaelmas term.

It certainly promises to be an outstanding team, led by Heads of School Ijah Ofon (C1) and Connie Campbell-Gray (MM).
