The Bradleian studio was host to Jane Darby’s impressive and detailed production of DNA by Dennis Kelly. A group of very committed and talented Remove and Hundred pupils took on this challenge to rehearse this project over four weeks, carefully constructing highly detailed characters that stepped in and out of the action from the ever-present ensemble.
There were many impressive performances that were enjoyed by packed houses; a testament to the hard work in rehearsals that brought out every inch of dark detail. This production placed the performances front and centre; the stark, minimalist design providing the perfect backdrop for the conflicted teens as they sought to cover up the brutal secret at the heart of the play. This was a triumphant return to live performance in the Bradleian that was visceral, fascinating, unapologetically complex and incredibly entertaining. Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding project.
