A Level Results

We are very proud of the outgoing Upper Sixth, who have had bigger challenges to face than any other year group in recent times but who have met those challenges with confidence and flair. Their results are the product of a great deal of hard work, resilience, and adaptability from pupils who have been supported by expert and highly committed beaks.

29% of all grades were at A*, with 23 Marlburians scoring three or more A*s. 65% of grades were awarded at A* or A and 88% of grades were awarded at A*-B. 37% of pupils scored an equivalent of A*AA and 80% scored the equivalent of ABB.

We are delighted that, amidst a press clamour about an increasingly competitive landscape for entrance to the best universities, Marlburians have fared exceptionally well in securing places at high-tariff institutions, with 87% securing a place at their first-choice university including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and St Andrews as well as a range of top-flight US Colleges.

The Master, Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, commented: “Huge congratulations to this terrific year group and their beaks on some record-breaking results today. The Upper Sixth have been through so much but their agility, their determination and their ambition have been exemplary and the College is immensely proud of every one of them.”
