Together nearly 300 generous donors have raised £4m for bursaries in the last academic year and in September, the Shell and the Lower Sixth welcomed 14 new full bursary pupils. This means that we now have 38 pupils on a full bursary who would otherwise have been unable to attend Marlborough. When partial bursaries are taken into account there are now over 100 pupils in the College receiving financial support.
This is the most that has ever been raised for financial aid in one year and the highest number of pupils with a full bursary that we have ever had. We are very excited about the momentum that this record-breaking year has generated ahead of the launch of our bursary campaign in 2023.
We are particularly grateful to have received two substantial donations of £1.25m that will endow, forever, two fully funded places for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
