Festival of Sport

Wednesday 12th October 2022

The 2022 Marlborough College Festival of Sport took place on Saturday 8th October, with over 1,000 pupils taking part in a wonderful celebration of sport.

The day began with a Prep Schools Festival, with seven prep schools taking part in an array of coaching clinics and matches in football, hockey and rugby.

College fixtures began after lunch, with 40 fixtures (including fives, football, girls’ hockey, lacrosse, rugby and squash) taking place throughout the afternoon in front of supportive crowds.

A number of Old Marlburians also returned to Marlborough, representing the Malones (rugby) in a hard-fought victory over St Edward’s Oxford old boys, whilst in football, OMFC beat the College 1st XI 4-2.
This is one of the biggest days in the College sporting calendar – and you can see a round-up video of the event below.

A huge thank you to all players, parents, staff, OMs and spectators who all contributed to another fantastic day – we look forward to welcoming you back for 2023!
