World Mental Health Day

Tuesday 11th October 2022

Congratulations to everyone involved in raising £250 for the charity Mind in support of World Mental Health Day.

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10th October every year. It is an international day for mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organisation with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

At the College this year, members of our community were encouraged to donate £1 to this important cause and wear a green ribbon to help build awareness. The fundraising was led by members of the Upper Sixth, including Imo B and Hannah K.

We congratulate them on leading this initiative and thank all pupils, teachers and members of staff who took part.
