Acclaimed Artist, Teacher and former Head of Art at Marlborough College, Robin Child (CR 1971-92), will be exhibiting a collection of his work at Marlborough College in the Mount House Gallery from Saturday 5th November until Saturday 10th December.
This exhibition marks just over 50 years since Robin came to Marlborough. He was appointed Head of Art at Marlborough in 1971 and his time here was transformational. During his twenty-one years at the helm, pupils opting to study Art grew considerably and the examination results were extraordinary, but far more important was the seismic impact Robin’s teaching had on the lives of thousands of young people, many of whom have gone on to have a career across the visual arts, including architecture.
Viewings are by appointment only. Robin and Jan Child will be in the Mount House Gallery late morning and early afternoon on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of November.
If you would like to visit please contact the Art Department on 01672 892527 to arrange your visit.
