A half-term Spanish Department trip saw 20 pupils from the Remove to the Upper Sixth spend a week in the South of Tenerife.
The trip included an array of activities, such as learning how to cook typical Spanish food and a visit to a banana plantation. There was also marine conservation work with a boat excursion to see a selection of whales and turtles, in addition to a morning spent helping to clean local beaches in glorious weather.
It was a fantastic week of immersion into the local culture and, of course, the language. We are all looking forward to a similar experience in Costa Rica in April.
