Many congratulations to Hannah K (U6) who has raised over £12,000 for Bowel Cancer UK, a fantastic amount of money for an incredible charity.
On Thursday 16th February, Hannah braved the shave to raise this amazing amount and donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust to provide a free wig for a young person who has been diagnosed with cancer and has lost his/her hair due to chemotherapy.
Hannah took on the challenge, inspired by her Mum who is bravely battling the disease.
She said: ‘By raising funds, I hope to help all those who are coping with bowel cancer, as well as preventing many more people from suffering from this terrible disease. I hope that this will help find an easier treatment, not only for my Mum, but for everyone facing bowel cancer’.
Bowel Cancer UK provides support for everyone affected by bowel cancer, raises awareness of the cancer and researches into the causes of the disease and better treatment.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs for free, for children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
