Supporting ParalympicsGB

Monday 6th February 2023

Gold medallists were among the guests at a fundraising event to celebrate British Paralympians at the British Museum in London on Wednesday 25th January.

The event was organised by the British Paralympic Association’s Parallel Club as part of the push towards Paris 2024. Those attending included Tokyo 2020 gold medal-winning Paralympians Natasha Baker, Lauren Steadman and Aaron Phipps, champion jockey AP McCoy, and BPA Patron and Paralympic legend Baroness Grey-Thompson.

Marlborough pupils, Bella J, whose mother is one of the founding members of the Parallel Club and was hosting the evening, and Hattie W, who is a talented Para triathlete, were also present alongside their mothers to support the event. During the evening, Hattie took part in an inspiring panel discussion, chaired by broadcaster and BPA Patron Clare Balding.

Beyond celebrating the incredible achievements of ParalympicsGB and raising vital funds, the objective for the evening was to reinforce ParalympicGB’s vision: through sport, inspire a better world for disabled people.
