From the top of the Bradleian Arches and on a rather grey and chilly morning, our hearts were warmed by some lusty singing of May Day Madrigals from the Compline Choir. A healthy turnout from both town and gown enjoyed ‘The Eternal Gates lift up their Heads’ by Christopher Tye, ‘April is in thy Mistress Face’ and ‘Now is the Month of May’, both by Morley.
Adam Meehan- Staines certainly coaxed plenty of energy and precision from his merry band (despite the early hour of 8am), and sent us into the day ahead with a spring in our step and a smile on our faces. Good stuff.
