Congratulations to the Lower Sixth pupils on their extraordinary accomplishment in the HSK 3 (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) examination. With an impressive pass rate of 84%, these dedicated pupils have demonstrated their proficiency in the Chinese language and are now eligible to study in China during their gap year.

The HSK 3 examination, administered by the Hanban Institute, is an internationally recognised test that assesses non-native speakers’ abilities to comprehend and communicate in Chinese at B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It evaluates learners’ skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.

Passing the HSK 3, not only showcases linguistic prowess but also unlocks exciting opportunities. With their outstanding results, these pupils are now eligible to apply for a full scholarship to study in China for a term during their gap year. This prestigious scholarship offers them a chance to immerse themselves in the rich cultural and educational experiences that China has to offer.
