Emerging Talent Concert

Wednesday 21st June 2023

As the end of the College year beckons, and after umpteen concerts throughout the year, it was wonderful to see the Goodison Hall still full capacity to witness yet another splendid Emerging Talent Concert.

As usual the programme was diverse and lengthy, but once again displayed the many, but sometimes hidden, talents amongst our young musicians.

There was a lively start from the Junior Percussion Ensemble in a performance of the famous Mambo No.5, followed by a succession of notable and engaging solo performances from a further 21 individuals.

All the main musical departments were represented, which is most encouraging as our Upper Sixth head to pastures new next year, and the next generation take up the musical reins.

Special thanks to all the instrumental and singing teachers for their incredible work with the pupils throughout the year, not forgetting of course our dedicated accompanists, who on this occasion were Miss Toomer and Mr Brown.

Bravo all.

Artistic Director
