The recent half-term break proved anything but restful for George T, who competed in the European Triathlon Championships in Madrid.
George, who turned 17 in March, represented Great Britain in the U20 Age Group team on Sunday and finished sixth in his category and first within the GB team. A magnificent achievement, made all the more impressive as he was the youngest member of the U20 GB team at the Championships.
Rebe Horton, Director of Sport, commented: “As a College we are immensely proud of George’s achievements. He is such a talented young athlete and it is so heartening to see his hard work pay off with such high-level representation.
“We will of course continue to support George through our Triathlon Programme and wish him well at the World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg later this summer.”
