Preview: Thursday Sport

Ahead of Exeat weekend there is a bundle of midweek matches to look forward to, with 31 fixtures on the agenda for Thursday afternoon.

Here is a look ahead at the latest set of games, with a range of opposition both at home and on the road.

Football
The 1st XI are in action at home with a 2.30pm kick-off against Bedales on the Athletics Track, with the 2nd XI playing host to the same opponents.

Hockey
After a great contest on Tuesday against Peter Symonds’ College, the 1st XI girls are back in action as they travel to Dauntsey’s (3.45pm start). All other senior sides host Dauntsey’s. The U16A and U16B teams are at home to Bradfield College with the U15A, B and C sides at Dauntsey’s.

Rugby
Another competitive afternoon of rugby awaits with the traditional block fixture against Cheltenham, headlined by the XV who are at home with a 3pm start. The Colts and Yearlings age-groups are away with the Open and Junior Colts at home.

The exceptions to the Cheltenham block fixture are the Colts 3, Junior Colts 4 and Yearlings 4 who all travel to Sherborne.


Useful Information

Parking: Parents and visitors are invited to park either at the Water Meadows car park or up field. The new Hyde Lane car park will also be in operation. Car parking marshals will be on hand to answer any questions and direct visitors to the respective pitch locations.

Refreshments: Refreshments will be available in the Cricket Pavilion and the Bruce Tulloh Pavilion at the Athletics Track during the afternoon. Match teas will be served for all teams and post-match hospitality for parents and visitors in Norwood Hall after each fixture.
