After exeat, the Hundred joined the FutureSmart Careers team for individual careers interviews to prepare them for work experience, A level choices and setting longer-term careers goals. On average, the pupils rated their sessions 9/10, with almost everyone saying that they were clearer about their options as a result.
Maria T reflected on her experience:
“The structure of the meeting was extremely welcoming and warm, allowing me to feel comfortable in expressing my aspirations and aims. I found that the meeting was extremely beneficial in informing my decisions about my A levels and universities. They were able to find and demonstrate resources that would be valuable to my future decisions whilst asking me questions and evaluating my answers, so they could detect the most suitable choices, customised for me.”
She continued: “I feel much more confident in choosing my A levels and striving for my goals. I never really understood much about apprenticeship or work experience but now I’m strongly considering them and allowing myself to chase after a variety of things that would be beneficial to my career”.
