This term has seen the publication of new editions of our two longstanding pupil magazines, Piccalilli and Inspire.
Piccalilli is our pupil magazine for the creative arts and the latest edition contains original poems, artwork, photography and creative writing by pupils across the year groups. There are also a number of reviews of recent talks including Ellie Softley from Everyone’s Invited and Yann Martel, the Man Booker Prize-winning author of Life of Pi. The Sixth Form pupil editors of Piccalilli are Lexi M, Lily B, Carina H, Imogen S, Sophia R, Will W and Iona G.
Inspire is the College’s academic scholars’ magazine. It contains a breadth of accessible, independently researched articles on topics chosen by the authors who come from Shell, Remove and the Lower Sixth. The Lower Sixth editors are Dani L, Xanthe H-E, Milly G and Tilly G. The latest edition tackles some fascinating questions and considers some topical issues including whether climate change could lead us towards another global pandemic and if cosmetic surgery should be classed as a necessary procedure.
We congratulate everyone involved in these publications and hope you enjoy reading them.
